At Red Earth Chicken we live and breathe happy, healthy chicken. Our free range chicken is so natural, it’s as if you’ve raised them yourself in your back garden. The difference? We’ve done it for you.

We’re a wife-and-husband team, Stephanie and Dustin Taljaard, who moved from the city to McGregor in 2017,and embarked on our vision: to build a sustainable, ethical, working farm.

Red Earth Farm, a gorgeous 9.3 ha farm 4 kilometers outside of McGregor in the Breede River Valley, has taken shape to become and events & wedding venue, home and livery to retired sports horses, veggie gardens, sheep, pigs, ducks, geese and, now, chickens.

Inspired by our young children, Finley and Jack, and the desire to nourish them with healthy chicken, we launched Red Earth Chicken in February 2021.
